HEALTHY GUAHAN INIATIVE BOOT DRIVE TOMORROW
Government of Guam Employees unite in support of the American Cancer Society
A Boot Drive in support of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event will take place tomorrow, March 5, 2010, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the intersections of Chief Quipuha Park in Hagatna and the ITC Building in Tamuning.
For the past few months, Government of Guam departments and agencies under the banner of the Healthy Guahan Iniative have been fundraising and planning for their unified participation in the annual Relay for Life.
All residents are asked to join in this effort and support the offices of the Governor and Lt. Governor, Guam Homeland Security and the Office of Civil Defense, Guam Fire Department, Guam Police Department, Guam Customs and Quarantine, and several other government agencies as they work to generate money to support this very important cause.
“The Relay for Life event has become a unifying effort for all Government of Guam employees allowing us to combine our efforts and hopefully offer a substantial pledge in support of all those affected,” stated Chief John Wusstig, Fundraising Chair for the Healthy Guahan Iniative.
